Issue 46 cover: Is Egg Donation Dangerous?

Issue 46: "Is Egg Donation Dangerous?" This cover marks Maisy's come back to full size headline and half cover. The cover story subject was tricky as well, but then again just simplified. Photographs, but super talented and enormously wonderful Finn(O'Hara)!

Issue 45 cover story: Gays for God.

Issue 45: "Gays for God." Provocative subject means provocative imagery...hopefully iconic ;).
Dear friend and brilliant photographer, Kourosh(Keshiri), took the beautiful photos of my concept of Jesus as gay man. Afterwards he(Kourosh) allowed me to edit and manipulate them into what you see as a final cover and to top it all off with the halo!.

 

Maisonneuve wins!!!

Yay!!! On June 7th, Maisy won the prestigious "Magazine of the Year"award at the National Magazine Awards!!! We are like a microbe species of magazine industry - four people and two interns :D.

Hovever, it would not be possible without every single writer, artist, illustrator, photographer, editor and intern who kindly contribute their amazing talents, time and effort to keep the magic going.

Issue 44: The cover for the issue was everyone's 'darling' right from the first glance! You might say, it's just one of those times...when there is a complete agreement. The other ideas are not even worse putting on. Though, I want to mention the brainstorming for the concept started after our initial desire, to have the most prominent people(cover story), fell through. It's amazing how things work out sometimes.

Issue 43: Maisonneuve's Tenth Anniversary issue. Above: The Final design, something simple, very "10"...and very Maisy :). Below: The two concepts that almost ended up as  Final. My favorite ones being "Wine Label"(left) and "Egg 10"(right).
